Description ‑ Flower: Shape: Stellate then flat

Diameter:  20-23 cm.

            Sepal color, exterior: Dark green heavily covered with black speckles

Petal color: Medium blue outer petals, pink inner petals

            Stamen: Filament color: NA

            Pedicel (flower stalk) color: Brown

Fragrant?  Slightly

Leaves: Shape: Oval

             Margin: Heavily serrated

             Lobes: Overlapping, pointed   

             Color, top: Maroon with green mottling

             Color, underside: Pink and blue blotches, prominent green veins

What cultivar does this plant most closely resemble and how does it differ?

N. ‘Midnight’, but this has mottled pads and a pink petaloid center.

Unusual characteristics or comments: One of the earliest lilies to open and last to close. Best New Waterlily and Best New Tropical IWGS 2004.
